Meet Ray Cummings
Dr. Ray Cummings has pastored churches in Mississippi and Alabama for over 18 years and has been in the ministry for the last 28. He now resides in Purvis, MS and serves Hattiesburg Community Church as Senior Pastor. Ray also remotely serves as the Associate Director of the Moore-West Center for Applied Theology based out of Memphis, TN. He graduated William Carey College in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in Pre-Med. He attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he received a Master of Divinity with Languages Degree in 1996 and a Doctor of Ministry with a specialization in Church Growth and Evangelism in 2001. He has been married to his partner in ministry, Amanda Burge Cummings, since December 6, 1997. They have 3 sons and one daughter: Carter (20), Camron (18), Moses (16), and Mercy (14). They have a non-profit named after their daughter called “Mercy’s Mission” that feeds and educates children in the Lisa Center orphanage in Goma, Congo. Ray loves preaching, writing, hunting, and anything sports related.
